Last Minute Holiday Gift Guide {Under $100!}

I know it seems like I’m always late to the party on these gift guides, but this week is when I do the majority of my Christmas shopping – and I know I’m not alone there. Major props to everyone who posted their roundups before Thanksgiving, but unfortunately my list wasn’t checked even once (let alone twice) by that point. So for all of you that have waited until the last minute yet again, I’m here to help with ideas under $100 that will arrive before Santa.

  • Faux Fur Slippers ($35) – Faux fur anything always gets my stamp of approval, and these babies will keep you cozy all winter long.
  • Velvet Crossbody ($16) – This was one of my Cyber Monday purchies, and I get tons of compliments every time I carry it. It looks so luxe, yet is cheaper than your average Postmates order.
  • Mini Light Box ($30) – I can’t get enough of these ever since I saw Libby Living Colorfully‘s cheeky one here. Pick one up for the lady in your life who loves to express herself.
  • Oribe Texturizing Spray ($22-44) – This stuff is worth its weight in gold, but unfortunately costs about the same too. I can rarely justify buying myself pricy beauty products, which automatically makes this dry shampoo alternative the perfect gift.
  • Gold Bubble Earrings ($52) – BaubleBar makes the best dupe for the bubble earrings that you see on every blogger and her mama. But lucky for you, these won’t gobble up half your rent check.
  • Marble Phone Case ($13) – You can never go wrong with marble. Order this for the girl that’s basic at heart (me).
  • Striped Gloves ($20) – When in doubt, hop on over to Gap and pick up a few things to throw in a gift bag. Pair these with the fur slippers above for the coziest present possible!
  • Prosecco Rose Candle ($18) – Another gift idea to file under “things people don’t want to buy for themselves but really want.” This Voluspa candle smells incredible and comes in the prettiest tin.
  • Marquee Letter ($15) – Anything with initials or a monogram undoubtedly makes you look more thoughtful, even though it’s, like, the easiest thing ever. If your pal isn’t a monogram kind of gal, opt for B, A, and R to put over her bar cart. Chic!
  • Ceramic Mug ($16) – This is basically the new “world’s best mom” mug, but way cuter.

  • Wireless Headphones ($85) – Now that Apple has ruined lives everywhere by taking away our headphone jacks, it’s time to finally bite the bullet on some nice wireless headphones. These are noise canceling and I just love the vintagey feel.
  • Herschel Supply Co. Travel Kit ($30) – If you notice the guy in your life throwing all his stuff in a plastic bag when he travels, it’s time to get him an upgrade. This comes in several different colors too!
  • Death Star Popcorn Maker ($50) – If you’re dating a huge nerd like I am (hi, Will!), he’s most likely still talking about how cool the new Star Wars movie was. Be an enabler with this Rogue One-inspired popcorn maker.
  • Topman Knit Hat ($20) – Beanies have a tendency to either make guys look like hipster douchebags or five year old children. Finally Topman comes to the rescue with this effortlessly cool cap.
  • Cocktail Kit ($30) – For the man who loves to play bartender. Wrap up this wood + stainless steel cocktail kit with his favorite bourbon and you’ve got the easiest and coolest gift under the tree.
  • Anthony Shave Cream ($19) – I’m a firm believer in buying dudes things to pamper themselves, since they never will for themselves. Even the burliest of boys deserve some fancy shave cream now and then.
  • Philips Hue Light Bulbs ($30) – Since Amazon’s Alexa was such a huge gift last year (or if you know someone is getting it for your guy this year), these light bulbs are a great addition. Verbally dimming the lights will be his new favorite party trick.
  • Flannel-Lined Slippers ($30) – Slippers will always make my roundup, lame or not. The slippers my sister and I got for our dad a couple years ago are still his favorites!
  • Crosley Record Player ($80) – Record players are an annoying amount of money, which puts them at the top of the great gift idea list. Pick up a couple of his favorite albums on vinyl and you basically win Christmas.

All of the gifts above are currently in stock and able to be delivered or picked up by Christmas, so be sure to get a jump on your shopping ASAP to ensure delivery by the 24th. Maybe next year we won’t procrastinate, guys? Just kidding, see you here next time.

Last Minute Gift Ideas

For those of us who have put off Christmas shopping until the last minute (me), you’ve come to the right place. Whether you need some stocking stuffers for your sig other or a white elephant gift for your BFF’s party, I’ve got you covered. f09e92256f13aacf06250f3dd3a02c98
Gift Ideas

  1. Minimergency Kit: This isn’t something most people buy for themselves, but it’s something every girl needs. Inside that tiny pouch, you’ll find a needle & thread, deodorant, lip balm, a tampon, and numerous other life savers.
  2. Gold, Glittery & Leopard: Your BFF/sister/coworker will absolutely love a gold monogram necklace, a cute Kate Spade iPhone case, a leopard clutch, and glittery flats. Guaranteed.
  3. Beauty/Hair Products: You can never go wrong with a gift pack of eos, Essie, and no-crease hair ties.
  4. Clothes & Stuff: This H&M star sweater will be your BFF’s new wardrobe staple, those adorable jammies will keep her cozy on Christmas morning, and the 5-pack of panties will last forever.

Gift Ideas

  1. Entertainment: Video games such as Grand Theft Auto V & Call of Duty Ghosts, Breaking Bad seasons on DVD, boy movies like Die Hard, boy books like Game of Thrones, and tickets to see his fave band, comedian, or play will score you major points in the thoughtful gf/wife department.
  2. Grooming & Gadgets: Things your guy needs but doesn’t think to buy for himself are always a good bet. This includes a nice electric shaver, a swiss army knife (bonus: great for when you break a nail), and a classic cologne like Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio — cologne gets a bad rap for being a boring gift, but this stuff smells so good that it’s basically a gift for you too.
  3. Clothes & Stuff: Cozy socks/slippers, a nice tie, and a good pair of leather gloves are always a good idea; they’re timeless and will last for years to come.

Holiday Wish List

Christmas is rapidly approaching — a bit too quickly if you ask me. If you’re still unsure what to ask for (you little procrastinator), I decided to share my wish list. Keep in mind I would never ask for all this at once, and Santa will obviously only give me a couple things on my list. Check it out below!

  1. J. Crew Ankle Boots: These are the ideal ankle boots, if you ask me. The right color, perfect heel height, and chic gold zippers. Gimme!
  2. Kate Spade Gold Glitter Watch: If this looks familiar, it’s because I constantly use it in outfits on my blog. What’s not to love?! Gold, glitter, knowing what time it is….
  3. Canon EOS Rebel Camera: The queen of all cameras, this little puppy is definitely the biggest splurge on the list. Maybe next year?
  4. Barbour Beadnell Jacket: This has been on my Christmas list for a few years in a row now. It’s also a serious splurge but lasts forever! So it’s like an investment. Right?
  5. Lululemon Wunder Under Crop: I have a few lulu items that I love, but I’ve been a little reluctant to buy the pants because of all the controversy. If the lulu loonies can get their you-know-what together, these pants are a must.
  6. BaubleBar Necklace: Pretty much anything from BaubleBar, actually. I’ll have one of everything, please.
  7. Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette: This is probably on all of your wish lists as well, unless you already have it. Another must-have.
  8. Target Crock Pot: Not only is my apartment in dire need of a slow cooker, but I’ve also been eyeing this seriously cute crock pot every time I pass it in Target. It’s only $35!
  9. Frye Melissa Button Boot: Another splurge. But just like I told my skeptical parents/Santa, they’ll last forever and I’ll wear them all the time!
  10. The Complete Series of Friends: Like why don’t I already have this?
  11. Warby Parker Glasses: I desperately need a new pair of glasses and Warby Parker is absolutely the best place to get them. For every pair they sell, they donate a pair to someone in need. Now that’s what I call the Christmas spirit.

What do you think of my picks? Do our wish lists have anything in common?

Steal of the Week: Tube Scarf

This week’s steal, the tube scarf from H&M, is now marked down to a mere $6.45. Yep, you read that right. Originally priced at only $12.95, this soft angora blend infinity scarf comes in four fabulous fall colors. This incredible deal won’t last forever, so click here to buy a tube scarf of your own (or four).

If you don’t already have one, circle scarves are such a simple yet chic accessory — definitely a go-to when styling an outfit. Not to mention these four colors are ideal for fall fads — a plum hue, classic black, the perfect neutral, and trendy black + white. As if they couldn’t get any better, these unbelievably inexpensive scarves can be worn for either work or play.

The ensemble I put together, falling into the “play” category, just screams holiday party to me. Now that Halloween is over, I’m totally ready for Christmas (yes, I’m one of those people). I chose the plum scarf because you all know how obsessed I am with this autumn hue, and I adore a good pop of color. To start the outfit out, I picked the festive frock below — don’t you love the way this gold brocade sweater dress looks with the rich tone of the scarf? Me too. To add to the luxurious feel, as well as provide some extra warmth in the winter months, I added a faux fur vest to top it off. As for accessories, I chose simple black ankle boots, sparkly gold drop earrings, a gold bow ring, and an emerald crossbody bag. Does that bag look familiar? That’s because it was my SOTW a few weeks ago! Lastly, just slip into a pair of black tights and you’re ready to go.
